The Technologies that Help the Lexus NX in Winter

The all-new Lexus NX benefits from all of the latest technologies that are designed and engineered to ensure your comfort and your safety all winter long.

 Impressive safety

The new Lexus NX is the first vehicle to be equipped with the LSS+ 3.0 suite of active safety features, which include the dynamic radar cruise control, the lane keeping assist with lane tracing, the pedestrian detection and many more. All of these systems work together to keep the NX in its lane and at a safe distance from other vehicles. If a collision becomes imminent, a warning will be issued early enough for you to avoid it even when you are driving on a slippery road. The standard all-wheel drive system also plays a big part in the safety of the NX by increasing its stability and its capabilities, while remaining very fuel efficient. The different RX models are equipped with different versions of this system but all work in essentially the same way: by sending torque to the rear axle as soon as spinning is detected on one of the front wheels, either via electric motors or a hydraulic coupling. When driving on solid surfaces, the rear axle is disconnected on the models without electric motors in order to lower the fuel consumption.

A high level of comfort

The new Lexus NX benefits from many standard and available features that are made to keep you comfortable on the coldest days of winter. For example, the heated front seats and the heated steering wheel are standard, as is the dual-zone automatic climate control. This allows you and your passenger to tailor the temperature of the air and the seat that is best suited to each of you. The available rear heated seats will make sure that your rear passengers enjoy their time in your vehicle just as much as you do.
